Account and Data Deletion Policy

Overview
This page explains how users can delete their Pet&Care account and app data. Pet&Care supports in-app account deletion for users who create an account, and also provides export and support options.
Delete Your Account In the App
If you are signed in, you can start account deletion in the app:
- Open Pet&Care
- Go to Settings
- Open Account or Profile
- Choose Delete Account
- Follow the confirmation and reauthentication steps shown in the app
Deleting an account may require you to reauthenticate with your current sign-in provider, such as email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Google.
Export Your Data Before Deleting
Before deleting, you can use the app import/export tools to export supported pet data, including pets, routines, medications, expenses, health records, mood logs, weight logs, water logs, and emergency contacts. Calendar events managed by Apple Calendar and data controlled by Apple services may need to be managed through Apple tools.
What Deletion Covers
Account deletion is intended to remove or disconnect account-related data controlled by Pet&Care, including Firebase account data and related synced app data where supported. Local data on a device can also be deleted by using in-app deletion tools or by removing the app and its data from the device. Some data in Apple services, such as iCloud, CloudKit sharing, Calendar, HealthKit, HomeKit, StoreKit purchase history, or device backups, may be controlled by Apple or by the user device/account settings.
Data We May Need to Keep
Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law, including records needed for security, fraud prevention, billing, tax, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or abuse prevention. Backups and provider logs may take additional time to expire according to service-provider retention schedules.
Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app or need help, email danicarrero92@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account when possible. Include Pet&Care Data Deletion Request in the subject line. We may ask for information needed to verify the request before acting on account data.
